Checkatrade Abandoned Us in a Pinch
We were completely reliant on website Checkatrade to find us a trustworthy tradesperson for our repair job. We joined and posted our needs, but unfortunately, we were left abandoned at sea.
- Absolutely no one reached out to us.

- Worst of all, their helpline was absolutely hopeless.
We are very disappointed with Checkatrade and would recommend against using their platform. There are plenty of alternatives out there. We are saddened by having wasted our time on this disappointing service.

We Paid, But Never Saw the Work: Checkatrade Fail.
My experience with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I booked a trader through their platform to handle some crucial home repairs. They looked reliable at first, but it ended up a horrendous ordeal.
Although I transferred the full amount upfront, the work never started. Communication dried up. It's been a truly agonizing period, and I'm still left with a gaping hole where my sense of security once was.
The platform itself has been beyond frustrating throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
- Stay far, far away from Checkatrade.
- Learn from my mistake.
